The Minnesota African Immigrant Farmers Association (MAIFA) invites the entire community to the 2025 Harvest Festival on Sunday, November 16, 2025, in Rogers, Minnesota. This festival, with a rich history of the community, is a joyful gathering that celebrates our farmers, our culture, and the unity that continues to strengthen our community.
This year’s festival is more than just a seasonal event; it is a time of thanksgiving for hard work, resilience, and hope. After months of dedication in the fields, MAIFA farmers, families, and partners will come together to express gratitude, share delicious food, and celebrate the year’s harvest.
Highlights of the Day
- Farmers’ Showcase & Market: Fresh produce and handmade goods grown with care by MAIFA farmers.
- Cultural Performances: Music, dance, and stories reflecting the beauty of Minnesota’s African diaspora.
- Community Awards: Honoring farmers, families, and partners who supported MAIFA’s vision this year.
- Taste of Africa: Delicious traditional dishes prepared from locally grown ingredients.
- Family & Kids Zone: Fun, educational, and interactive activities for all ages.
“This festival is about gratitude — to God, to our farmers, and to everyone who continues to believe in our shared dream,” said Dr. Mfon Archibong, MAIFA Board Chair. “It’s a time to celebrate what we’ve grown together — not only in the fields but in our hearts as one community.”
Mr. Funwi, MAIFA President, noted: “When our farmers succeed, our community thrives. The Harvest Festival is our reminder that unity still grows the best harvest.”
Mama Jane, MAIFA Vice President, added: “Every farmer has a story of endurance. November 16 will be our day to celebrate those stories, those hands, and those hearts.”
